Abstract: Based on site investigation and literature analysis, this paper discusses space layout changes of Borghese Park in the Baroque period, English style period and today. With principles of protection and utilization, the Borghese Park restored secret gardens, used techniques to make new space and transportation models, and build plants landscape. The authors point out that the successful transition of the Borghese Park is mainly because that the Roman always respect the history, persist in less human disturbance to the site, and insist on using old traditional materials.
