Abstract: Based on the questionnaire data from farmers in Jinning County, Yunnan Province, this paper makes a quantitative analysis of influence factors and influence degree of farmers’ farmland transfer behavior with the method of the Binary Logistic regressive model. Empirical results show that farm land areas, agricultural labors , annual average net income, proportion of nonagricultural income, importance of farmland in oldage security and age of household have significant effect on transfer behavior. But there exists different degree and direction among these factors. Policy suggestions are put forward, such as developing secondary and tertiary industry, promoting rural education, developing rural land circulation intermediary, stabilizing farmers’ land contract rights, and establishing and perfecting rural social security system.
