Analysis of Rural Households' Cognition and Management Willingness of Forest Carbon Sequestration: Surveys of Rural Households in Zhejiang,Jiangxi and Fujian Provinces

  • Increasing forest carbon sequestration has been widely accepted as an important measure to cope with climate change. Taking 11 counties from Zhejiang,Jiangxi and Fujian provinces as the object and based on survey data of 310 households, this paper conducts a descriptiveanalysis of rural households' cognition and management willingness of forest carbon sequestration. UsingLogistic Model, this paper also makes a quantitative analysis of factors influencing rural households' management willingness of forest carbon sequestration. The research shows that factors, such as the number of times of households' receiving silvicultural training, quality of forest land, attitude towards participation and regional differences, have significant impactson the households' management willingness of participating in forest carbon sequestration. Finally, under the premise that carbon sequestration can be used for transaction, this paper analyzesthese factors so as to provide references for the government to carry out forest carbon sequestration management reasonably.
