Cultural Ecosystem and Its Instruction in Higher Education in China: A Case Study of English Tour- Interpreting

  • Human civilization is now heading for the eco- civilization after the previous agricultural and industrial civilizations. In response to the cultural ecosystem which is concurrent with the overall ecosystem, higher education institutions in China should teach more relevant courses to keep up with the times. Adopting the perspective of cultural ecology and studying the course of English Tour- Interpreting, the paper discusses how we can update the instruction of cultural ecosystem in higher education in China from the following aspects: the story of the land, patriotism, the new urbanization road with Chinese characteristics, cultural innovation, cultural identity of the nation, and the everlasting instruction of cultural ecosystem in higher education.
