Some sections of the book recorded Chinese forestry information in Tang Dynasty seen and heard by Arabian merchants, such as natural forest distribution, economic forest development, exploitation and utilization of forest animal and plant resources, ecological environment, city afforestation and forest deforestation by war etc, so the book heralds the introduction and spreading of Chinese forestry to Europe and Arab world and is a precious document that can be used for study of ancient Chinese forestry.
