Abstract:
As a frontline revolutionary base area since 1937, the Taihang District faced severe environmental degradation caused by warfare and human activities, which significantly threatened local livelihoods. Under the leadership of the Party Committee of Taihang District, a comprehensive reforestation program was implemented through ① establishing forestry management organizations, ② developing detailed forestry policies and regulations, ③ creating nurseries for superior seedling cultivation, ④ promoting forestry education and technical dissemination. Effective propaganda and mobilization campaigns successfully engaged local populations in voluntary tree-planting initiatives. These efforts not only mitigated ecological crises but also but also stimulated economic recovery in the region. The historical experience of Taihang's reforestation movement continues to offer valuable lessons contemporary ecological civilization construction in China.
