Factors Influencing Farmers’ Satisfaction with Forestry Public Services: Based on an Investigation of 293 Households in Huairou District in Beijing

  • Based on a survey of 293 households in Huairou District of Beijing, this paper analyzes the relationship between forestry public services and farmers' forestry production and management processes, as well as the role of supporting service systems. An empirical study is conducted on the factors affecting farmers' satisfaction with forestry public services by using multiple orderly logistic regression analysis model. The results show that the factors that affect their satisfaction are mainly the understanding of forestry policies and household income; in general, the overall famers are not quite satisfied with forestry public services, and they are eager for better, diversified services. Finally, we put forward the basis of the needs of farmers to provide diversified public services, increase publicity of forestry public services, strengthen training to farmers, and improve the income of farmers.
