The Efficiency Analysis and Affecting Factors of State Owned Forest Farm from Prospective of Multiple Benefits

  • The sustainable development of State Owned Forest Farm (SOFF) constitutes the important part of ecological civilization. This paper uses Data Envelopment Analysis to analyze the production efficiency of SOFFs under multiple benefits including economic, social and ecological benefits based on the survey of SOFFs in 2022. The results showed that the scale efficiency of a few forest farms with larger scale decreases, while the returns to scale of most forest farms with smaller scale increases; The pure technical efficiency of most forest farms is at a relatively low level; Forest farms at the forefront of technological efficiency include SOFFs with full government financial support and SOFFs with partial government financial support. Based on the redundancy analysis of investment factors, it is recommended to improve technical efficiency by redundancy analysis of input elements to promote production efficiency of forest farms in China.
