  • Being a typical representative of intellectuals in Song Dynasty, SU Shi’s resume and literary life is inextricably linked with forestry. Based on Confucian ideology of involvement in the world of statecraft, he personally took part in afforestation, gardening, improving woodworking technology, clearing the west lake and building Su Causeway, pursued comfortable state of life from Buddhism and Taoism. He also concerned about environment, protected forest heritage and culture, built an ideal life with a broadminded and optimistic attitude.
