  • Based on the concern of ecological deterioration, the nonanthropocentrism of environmental ethics criticizes the anthropocentrism in field of aesthetics. Among of the environmental appreciation models, both Allen Carlsons dualism theory and Arnold Berleants holism theory have an inclination towards nonanthropocentrism. The transformation of ethics value to aesthetic value is at the cost of sacrificing aesthetic. However, aesthetic subjectivity is not equal with anthropocentrism in an ethics sense. It is necessary and possible to acknowledge the essential and legit status of aesthetic subject and establish a free and healthy appreciation model of environmental aesthetics.
