  • Contract documents of Huizhou area are important and direct literature for studying the social history of this area. There are many mountains and less lands in this area,and forestry resources are rich from of old. Forestry production and trade became more flourish in the area during the Ming and Qing dynasties, which is reflected in the contract documents of forestry issues in Huizhou area. This paper classifies and analyzes some representative documents of this area concerned with forestry to give inspiration on the study of forestry history and regional forestry history from aspect of the literature.
