Abstract:
"Ecological civilization" has become an academic buzzword, which is both a good thing and an alarm. Humanists are engaged in the research of ecological civilization and biodiversity, usually from a single perspective, with clean hands and just talking. From the methodological point of view, for the former, we need to consider the "zoom method" through changing observational focal distance and investigate the problems at different scales. For the latter, humanists should go deep into the reality, soil themselves first, and conduct more research on "field philosophy". There are a series of noteworthy cases of ecological, environmental and biodiversity damage in China, which can be effectively analyzed by humanists. "Ex situ conservation" event is still worth tracking, because it is a prominent manifestation of the long-term habitual thinking in the scientific and horticultural circles.
