Abstract:
Amid the urgent need to boost industry resilience for the high-quality development of China's furniture manufacturing industry, and the lack of synergy among its five major industry clusters, this paper firstly measures the resilience of China's furniture manufacturing industry using a counterfactual sensitivity index method. It constructs an evaluation system based on resistance, recovery, and transformation capabilities and uses geographic detector q-statistics to analyze the influencing factors of industry resilience. Secondly, this paper also examines regional differences and dynamic evolution. Finally, the paper offers policy recommendations to enhance the synergy among the five major industry clusters. The Results show the clusters of Yangtze River regions, Pearl River regions, and Bohai Rim regions maintain stable industry resilience, with moderate fluctuations under risk impacts; the central-western and northeastern clusters experience significant resilience fluctuations, with the central-western clusters showing notable recovery improvements but rapid declines under pandemic shocks; since 2017, regional differences among the five clusters have markedly increased.
