Abstract:
As the essential attribute of the subject in ecological civilization construction, ecological personality represents a novel paradigm of subjectivity formed through the development of the Marxist theory of human emancipation, providing a normative framework for the orientation of new quality productive forces. Conversely, new quality productive forces offer material support for the cultivation of ecological personality through the transformation of productive modes, thus affirming the historical materialist foundation of ecological civilization. The synergistic evolution of the two constitutes a dialectical unity of “human emancipation” and “natural liberation” within the ecological civilization era, advancing Marx’s philosophical vision of “reconciliation between man and nature.” By establishing a dual path of “personality revolution-productive forces revolution”, this relationship responds to the practical demands of contemporary ecological governance, constructing a co-evolutionary model of personality and productivity. It opens a new trajectory for civilizational development, one that transcends capitalist logic and guides human society toward a new form of civilization characterized by the unity of human all-round development and ecological sustainability.
