Abstract:
The Chinese Communist Party and government have made a series of policies to develop forestry since 1949. The evolution of forestry policy reflects the progress of understanding in forestry management by the party and government. The features of forestry policy have gradually developed from acute and temporary to systemic and overall. The rationality, pertinence and forward-looking of the policy are becoming visible. The forestry policy making is increasingly affected by international factors. The forestry policy making for the future must follow the forestry development rules, improve continuously to meet the needs of society and the time, and deal well with the relationship between economic effectiveness and ecological environment.
