大熊猫保护研究国际合作新闻报道与舆情分析

News Report and Public Opinion Analysis of International Cooperation on Giant Panda Conservation and Research

  • 摘要: 大熊猫保护研究国际合作既是一项拯救濒危物种的科学活动,又是具有广泛社会影响的公共活动。国内公众对大熊猫保护研究活动的高度关切频繁形成热点舆情,对国际合作事项的落实与推进产生了多方面的影响。运用多维度文本分析技术对大熊猫保护研究国际合作活动及事项相关的传统媒体和自媒体报道与舆情进行了研究,结果发现:①传统媒体全面报道了大熊猫保护研究国际合作30年来产生的社会经济效益、生态环境效益、外交及中外民间交流效益,自媒体平台着重实时更新旅居大熊猫的日常生活;②自媒体平台在舆情放大和传播方面具有主导作用,少部分负面舆情在一定程度上冲淡了大熊猫保护研究国际合作带来的正面效益。建议传统媒体更关注大熊猫本身,塑造大熊猫生态保护的新型文化形象。官方部门应对大熊猫保护研究国际合作项目开展整体和分项目的成效评估,利用多媒体平台及时回应公众关注的舆论焦点,进一步提高对网络舆情主动应对、引导的认识与重视程度,同时淡化大熊猫的商业色彩,避免公众误解,营造良好、正确的大熊猫保护氛围,更好地发挥中国大熊猫保护研究国际合作的综合效益。

     

    Abstract: International cooperation in giant panda protection and research is not only a scientific activity to save endangered species, but also an important content of China's public diplomacy and an important carrier of public education on wildlife protection. The domestic public's high concern about the giant panda conservation and research activities has frequently formed hot public opinions, which has brought many impacts on the implementation and promotion of the cooperation. This paper uses multi-dimensional text analysis technology to study the news report and public opinions in traditional media and self-media related to international cooperation activities and matters of giant panda conservation and research. Our study finds that: ① The traditional media comprehensively reported the social and economic benefits, ecological and environmental benefits, diplomatic and Chinese-foreign non-governmental exchanges brought by or concerning the international cooperation in giant panda conservation and research over the past three decades, while the self-media platform is more interested in updating the latest information of giant pandas in real time. ② The self-media platform plays a leading role in public opinion amplification and monitoring, and a few negative public opinions dilute the positive benefits brought by international cooperation in giant panda conservation and research to certain extent. We suggest that the traditional media should return to and focus more on the report of the giant panda itself and create a new cultural image of giant panda ecological conservation. The official departments should carry out overall and sub-project effectiveness evaluation of the international cooperation project on giant panda conservation and research, use multimedia platforms to respond to the focus of public opinions in time, further improve the awareness and importance of the active response and guidance of the public opinions on the Internet, and at the same time weaken the commercial color of giant panda, avoid public misunderstanding, and establish a good and correct atmosphere for giant panda conservation, in order to better play to the comprehensive benefits of international cooperation on giant pandas in China.
