  • Huzhou is a famous place with abundance of products and talents in Zhejiang Province in history, where the natural distribution of Mei flower, especially its economic and ornamental cultivation has obvious advantages. In the transition of North Song and South Song dynasties, the Mei scene of Jing Mountain, Wuchen County was said to distribute around 5 kilometres, and its appearance time was only later than Dayu Mei Ridge located in the border of Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces, and Gu Mountain in West Lake, Zhejiang Province among all Mei scenes in China history. But the scale of Mei scene in this area was far larger than the other two. Later, Mei scenes of Yanxiawu in Wukang County, Xixian Mountain in Wucheng County, Chuankou and Hexi in Changxing County, were all known for their scale. It is rare that such large scale of Mei flower distribution in this area, and thus the industrial traditions of Mei flower have great influence today. Huzhou locates in the centre of south of the Yangtze River, between Suzhou and Hangzhou city. The prosperous Mei scene lays a geopolitical basis for Mei planting in this area, which greatly promotes its development of Mei industry and Mei scenes.
