  • This paper gives definition of ecological compensation policy and legal system, analyzes the process and main contents of policies and laws of ecological and environmental protection in China. The study evaluates the meaning of ecological compensation about natural resource protection and compensated usage in the specialized laws and regulations, and sorts out the ecological compensation norms from the existing policies and laws of ecological and environmental protection. Based on the evaluation of the coordination between legal process and system of ecological compensation laws and regulations, the paper finally puts forward briefly policy suggestions.
