Protection History of Wanmulin(万木林,Woodland of Thousands Species) and Its Implication on Ecological Constructi

  • This paper investigates and analyzes the historical origin, protection history, and biological resources of Wanmulin(万木林,Woodland of Thousands Species) in Fujian Province. Wanmulin is middle subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, which is gradually evolved from artificial fir plantation. It is an example of the combination of forest protection and natural succession. From viewpoint of modern ecology, this paper believes that Wanmulin can give us implications on restoring nature ecologically, protecting biodiversity, maintaining intergenerational equity, treating nature friendly, and disposing relationship between human and nature properly.
